News from the Development Office:

Cardinal McCloskey Services is pleased to announce that we have received a $75,000 grant from the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation to fund our Strategies for School Success Program in our Foster Boarding Home! Strategies for School Success is designed to help poor, disadvantaged and underserved children reach their full individual potential, despite having few or no advocates for their educational welfare. The program will enable us to build on our work in assisting foster care youth achieve success in high school and ideally increase the number of youth who pursue higher education.

We are incredibly grateful to the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation for recognizing CMS’s commitment to excellence and allowing us to continue providing life-changing programs such as Strategies for School Success to our kids.

Also, the Annual Cardinal McCloskey Toy Drive was a tremendous success and was featured on the front page of the December 31st edition of Catholic New York!   Over 10,000 toys and gifts were distributed to the youth and developmentally disabled adults we serve.  Our sincere thanks to everyone who participated in delivering thousands of smiles on Christmas morning!
